I take it you have checked out all the different versions/ combinations of AmpliTube and midi controllers on your ik account user area? Your symptoms sound like ur midi controller S/W isn’t compatible ur apple OS / AmpliTube version ur running. I’m no IT expert, however I am an engineer. Due to Ik and apple not been able to agree on licenses etc.my setup is now frozen, I will never be able to use my stealth pedal with the latest apple OS and Logic Pro X Sorry to hear about your SP issues, I’ve read ur post. marcaz Posts: 4 Joined: Mon 12:23 pm Location: Sunshine Coast - Queensland - Australia Nigel, I would LOVE to hear more from you and how you solved your problems. At this point in time, I have a functioning AT4.5, I am installing Garageband 10.1 and wondering if I should purchase Logic Pro 10.4 but SP MIDI control is doing the 'CONTROL light on for one second and then off' thing. I find myself repeating answers (I sometimes think the support person doesn't even read my messages before responding) and not getting any closer to a solution. One thing is true, not all things worked at the same time! I have, all along, followed the advice of IK support, to no avail. Fair enough, I guess.īut here I am, having tried OS versions from 10.10.5, 10.9.4, 10.8.5, 10.7.5 (I no longer have a 10.6.8 installer) and now back with 10.10.5, AT 2.0, 3.1 and 4.5, SP MIDI Control 1.1 and now 1.1.1 (yes, only after asking IK support for it) and Logic 9.1.2 as well as Garageband 6.0.5 and, frankly, I have lost track of what has worked and what hasn't. Nonetheless, this is pretty rudimentary stuff and from what I can tell, IK are just no longer a licensed Apple developer. I DO NOT expect miracles and, having worked in IT most of the past thirty years, I appreciate that support for a specific product can't go on forever. I raised a ticket with IK support and my experience was virtually the same as I have read here. The problems were just as described time and time again in this thread. I had installed MacOS 10.8.5, SP MIDI Control 1.1, AT3 and other bits and bobs. This went smoothly (even the tear-down to replace the drive was dead easy) and I was up and running again in a couple of hours. I decided to replace the hard disk and re-install all my software. Of course, after a couple of years sitting dormant, the hard disk in the iMac had become unreliable, applications beach-balling for no reason. I started with MacOS 10.5 and stopped updating at 10.6.8 for fear of issues arising and, well, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"ĭue to various personal reasons, I had a break from music making and have only in the last few months started back at it. It all worked perfectly at the time and for quite a few years after. This is the machine I purchased new around the same time I purchased my Stealth Pedal. I am using an early 2009 iMac in my little studio. Over the past few weeks, I have tried so many things various OS versions, AT versions, my DAW(s) and, of course, the SP MIDI Control software. IK's slogan of putting "musicians first" is not exactly accurate, especially with this product. When it works it is a really good product, however I think new customers need to do their homework. I'm hoping this conversation thread will help, for musicians wanting this capability. ![]() Furthermore, they don't update their related download section (in My Products). As previously explained from many un happy customers (on this forum)who bought this product on the understanding it was compatible with everything, its not - > this should be stated on the box or pull the product from the IK product line. There are clear compatibility issues with Mac OS versions and the Stealth Midi Controller IK provide with this product. I bought a reconditioned 2011 unit, with the 10.10.5 OS X (Yosimite), if I had a bought new there is no way the pedal would of worked. (it was a Christmas present), I've been lucky, I couldn't justify paying full price for a new iMac complete wit the latest OS. On a different note, it's taking me nearly 3 months to get to this stage. I will try this in the next few daysījorn, a quick question, are you using a DAW for recording or are you just using Amplitube? If you are using a DAW, I would be interested to know how you have set the stealth pedal up? ![]() I think all I have to do is assign an external midi controller within Logic, then I'm ready to go. The next step is to use the stealth pedal in my DAW, I have Logic Pro X (10.2). This midi controller version is compatible with the latest Amplitube 4 S/W. I ran it and configured the Midi channel, now it works! - I have real-time expression and Wah control. I requested the 1.1.1 StealthPedal_Midi_Control from IK, they sent me the file. ![]() Just wanted to say thank-you for taking the time to respond to me in this forum.
